Cardumi brings together in one place what anglers check before heading out: the weather translated into the chance of fish, the species catalog, the map, the rules of each region, gear and guides. Provisional name; the product belongs to GoinUP.
where the data comes from
- Weather: Open-Meteo, with the ECMWF IFS (European Centre), NOAA GFS and high-resolution blend models; a 31-run GEFS ensemble for up to 35 days (the app shows 28); marine model for waves, tide and sea temperature.
- Sun and moon: our own astronomical calculation.
- Maps: state boundaries from IBGE, hydrographic regions from ANA (Resolução CNRH 32/2003), Esri basemaps and OpenStreetMap data.
- Species: scientific literature, FishBase (length-weight relationship) and official lists of threatened species (Portaria GM/MMA 1.667/2026) and IUCN.
- Rules: federal (MPA, MMA, Ibama) and state regulations, cited one by one with a link.
- Illustrations and photos: generated for the project.
honest limits
A forecast is a probability, not a promise: that's why we show each day's confidence and the difference between models. River water temperature is estimated. Rules change: the official regulation and your state's agency take precedence. Modeled tide does not replace the Navy tide table for navigation.
