identification
Small fish, elongated and silvery, typical of the argentines, reaching 15 cm standard length. It forms schools close to the bottom, from 97 to 300 m, with the usual range between 100 and 160 m, and feeds on small crustaceans. Because of its depth and its habit of schooling near the bottom, it is hard to confuse with small surface fish.
