who is the mexican redhorse
The Mexican carpsucker is a fish of the family Catostomidae and reaches 49 cm. It occurs in Mexico, in the Lerma River basin, and in Texas, in the United States. It lives in rapids and shallow stretches of small to medium streams and rivers, with stony bottoms, and tends to stay near large boulders in fast water. It is a current-loving carpsucker, unlike the catostomids of lagoons and backwaters. It hardly ever appears in fishing.
Essential profile. Identification, where it occurs and rules, with data from FishBase and the cited regulations. Season, time of day, technique and bait are added once we have a good source for the mexican redhorse.
identification
Fish with a fusiform body and a lower mouth facing downward, a typical trait of catostomids. It has no teeth in the mouth. It lives in current, near stones and boulders, which helps identify the habitat. To tell it apart from other carpsuckers and buffalo of the region, which live in lagoons and backwaters, look at the rapids habitat.
