how to recognize it
identification
A fish with an elongated, spindle-shaped body, typical of the family Sciaenidae. It occurs only in Brazil, in rivers that flow into the Atlantic, on the east and southeast coast of the country. Because of its restricted range, it is set apart from the croakers of the Amazon, the La Plata basin and the São Francisco, even though its shape is similar. To recognize it, the capture location is the main sign.
