ilha solteira and três irmãos
Two lakes linked by the Pereira Barreto Canal. A São Paulo benchmark for peacock bass and croaker.
Ilha Solteira sits at the dam on the Paraná River. The lake connects to the Três Irmãos lake, on the Tietê River, through the Pereira Barreto Canal, forming a huge system of arms, islands and logs. Yellow and blue peacock bass are the target, with frequent tournaments. Croaker bites at the bottom of channels and points. Surubim and piapara show up in the river channel, tararira in coves. Casting with surface, mid-water and jig. Strong wind raises big waves on the open lake.
