Lake set between rock walls in the lower São Francisco. Peacock bass, croaker and tilapia in green, clear water.
The lake behind the Xingó plant fills a canyon with high walls, between Sergipe and Alagoas. The water is clear and deep, with rocks, crevices and small coves. Peacock bass on the rocks and points, croaker on the bottom, tilapia and trahira in the coves. It's a destination that combines fishing and tourism: sightseeing catamarans share the lake with fishing boats. Casting close to the walls and vertical jigging in deep areas. Strong heat: fish early and late in the afternoon.

Warm, dry months, September to February, with clearer water.
