lago dos tigres — britânia
Natural lake with calm waters in the Araguaia valley, with a beach in town. Lake fishing and a base for the Araguaia.
Britânia was built on the shore of Lago dos Tigres, a natural lake formed by the Água Limpa River, which flows via the Vermelho River to the Araguaia. It has over 37 km of calm water, with Praia Bonita on the town's waterfront and events such as jet ski races, boat meetings and fishing contests. Fishing is for lakes: peacock bass in the submerged timber and coves, trahira in the shallow vegetation, pescada and piranha in the middle of the lake. It is also a quiet base for those fishing the Araguaia, nearby.
